Jobs at NASL

NASL is Growing!
The North American Star League is growing! The NASL studio is bustling with activity planning, preparing, and producing new eSports content for 2012. As NASL grows, we are looking for a few more talented, energized, and determined individuals to join the team. Specifically, we are looking for people to fill the following roles:

Administrator
An ideal candidate has great communication skills, attention to detail, and is independently motivated; administration is a job that has no set hours. A perfect candidate is someone who can easily speak to both an everyday fan and spectator as well as the biggest name pro gamer with ease.

An administrator will help with league administration, handling emails, scheduling, and helping maintain communication about league activities on major community websites. Administrators must also be comfortable working with other game titles, and willing to learn the in's and outs of different communities.

Video Switcher
An ideal candidate has experience in the video or music industry, has studied film production, or has a passion for the "behind-the-scenes" magic that makes a broadcast happen. Preference would be given to those who have prior experience switching. Otherwise, a film or editing background and an ability to pick up new skills and learn quickly are required. This position requires attention to detail, quick thinking, and an ability to follow direction carefully.

A video switcher will be expected to work our switcher for daily broadcasts and at live events, and is a full time commitment.

Video Editors
Our editing team has over two decades of industry experience, and we are looking for more talented individuals to join our staff as the scope of our production has increased. An ideal candidate will have both a formal education and a minimum of three years experience editing. A mastery of Final Cut Pro and After Effects is required.

A video editor will work with our editing team to edit daily broadcasts for both Starcraft 2 and other titiles, work on highlight reels and othe promotional materials, and help our staff and casters produce additional content pieces for our broadcasts. This is a full time commitment.

Graphic Designer
An ideal candidate has an extensive background in both Photoshop, In-Design, and After Effects, and is proficient at web, print, and motion graphics. A formal education in a graphic design is a plus. Candidates will be expected to work within and implement a style/branding guide in all new graphics and video assets.

A graphic designer will be asked to produce graphics for web banners, presentations, the broadcast, and video assets to be used for marketing, promotion, and advertising, and is a full time commitment.

Camera Operators
Ideal candidates are energetic individuals with a strong attention to detail and experience filming for live broadcasts. Experience filming at on-location events is preferred. *

eSports Writers
Writers are needed to increase the level of coverage of our league. We are not looking for simple recaps and writeups, however. Preference will be given to those writers who can produce compelling and original content. We are looking for depth and quality, rather than quantity. If Ideal candidates are articulate, fast-paced, and most importantly, creative. A formal training in English, creative writing, or humanities is a plus.

A writer will be required to produce a minimum of two "feature" length articles per week (i.e. original content that does more than just report a news item or summarize results), in addition to periodically producing brief match summaries and recaps.
