Player Bio

Chris “HuK” Loranger is a Protoss player from Canada. Previously representing Team Liquid, Huk has recently joined Evil Geniuses following a highly anticipated announcement. Huk has been performed very well in Starcraft II, winning numerous major tournaments. He has won 1st place in MLG Raleigh 2010 and EG Masters Cup, and 3rd place in MLG D.C. Most recently, he has won top prizes in DreamHack Summer 2011, Homestory Cup III and MLG Orlando.

Playstyle

Huk has a very reactive style, and is macro-oriented. His PvP is his strongest matchup, exemplifying his thorough understanding of his race. Although he frequently does standard builds, he is unusual in the sense that his unit composition will be unique (he uses all units of his race, from Zealot to Carrier).

Huk is also frequently referred to as “Huk Norris” by fans, a reference to Chuck Norris.

Season 3

Huk placed 1st in Division 3, playing his way up from 8th place to 2nd by the 5th weekend and remaining first for the final three weeks.

Huk advanced directly to Playoffs, where he defeated GanZi 3-2. This qualified him for the live Grand Finals event in Canada, where he was a crowd favorite.

Unfortunately, he was defeated by Alicia in the first round.

Season 2

Huk was placed in the 2nd division, where he was expected to be the division winner. He started off the season with 4 straight wins. In Week 5, he lost in an upset to Zerg player DarKForCe. He bounced back with a win against Rain, but lost to Brat_OK. His overall record was 5-2 in the regular season.

Due to how the division played out, Huk got 2nd place, automatically seeding him into the Grand Finals. At the Grand Finals event in Ontario, California, Huk was eliminated by HasuObs in the first round, ending his NASL season.
